Hair Conditioning

Conditioners play a vital role in maintaining the shine and general appearance of the hair. If you skip them, it can result in your cuticles not lying flat and your hair looking dull and lifeless. It will also be more susceptible to damage. Conditioning sprays are a cross between leave-in conditioners and styling preparations, making them ideal for people with short hair or those who don’t want to spend too long on their hair-care regimes. You need to apply conditioner only to the mid-lengths and ends of the hair, as the scalp’s oil-producing glands usually supply the roots with sufficient moisture. After applying, run a wide-toothed comb gently through the hair, rinse thoroughly and finish with a blast of cold water. This ensures that the cuticles will lie flant and provides a stimulating boost for the scalp. Donot towel-dry the hair vigorously but simply blot off any excess water; otherwise you will damage the hair and dishevel the cuticles. Never brush the hair when it is wet, always using a wide-toothed comb instead.
