Eyebrow Plucking

EYEBROW PLUCKING-STEP BY STEP

Before you start to tweeze, you may want to draw the desired shape with powder and eyebrow brush, or highlight the hairs to be tweezed by marking them with white eyeliner.

Step 1 . Make sure you have plenty of light in the room when you are plucking. Why tempt fate by trying this beauty trick in the dark?

Step 2 . To pluck eyebrows, first apply an astringent such as witch hazel to anaesthetise the brow area.

Step 3- If the hairs are excessively long, it is perfectly okay to trim them with manicure scissors. Trimming them can make a big difference. Actually it is a good idea to trim before you pluck.

Step 4 : Brush your eyebrows into place, . It's also a good idea to tautly hold the skin right above the brow as you begin to tweeze--that will slightly reduce the pain of plucking.

Step 5 - Starting on the inside of the brow (closest to the nose), gradually tweeze the bottom of your brow until the outer corner is half the width of the inner corner of the brow. Take your time when tweezing and go one row at a time.

Step 6 - Pluck hairs in the direction that they grow. Doing so will keep the hairs smooth and will hurt less.pluck stray hairs underneath the eyebrow arch and anything else outside the natural brow line. Go slowly (one hair at a time) so you don't over-tweeze

Step 7 - After plucking a few hairs, always stop to look at what you have done. You may be over-plucking and you might not even realize it. Stopping to access your plucking progress will help measure your results and prevent over-plucking

Step 8 - After tweezing, Rub some soothing cream onto the area afterwards or soothe the area with cool, wet tea bags

REMEMBER FOR PLUCKING EYEBROWS

The best time to pluck your eyebrows are after you get out of the shower. The pores are still open and it doesn't sting quite as much.

WHICH TWEEZER TO USE FOR PLUCKING EYEBROWS?

Choose a tweezer with a fairly sharp, pointy head and make sure that it pinches closed tightly. Get a pair of tweezers that can firmly grip the hair and won't be slipping every time you start to pluck. Without a tight grip, the tweezer will never be very effective grabbing unwanted hair.

Thin Tip Tweezer :

Good for grasping small, fine hairs, and plucking ingrown hair.

Slanted Tip Tweezer:

Gives maximum control.

Square Tip Tweezer :

Best used for removing coarse hairs or several hairs at a time.
