• Mite burrows into the skin, especially around the hands, feet, and male genitalia. It does not usually affect the neck and head, although it may in infants
• Pimple-like irritations, burrows or rash of the skin
• Intense itching, especially at night and over most of the body.
• Sores on the body caused by scratching.

Treatment of Scabies

Treatment of Scabies includes:

• topical "pesticide" applications
• Regularly change and wash all clothing, bedding, towels and under wear.
• Permethrin - it tends not to irritate the skin
• Benzyl benzoate emulsion
• When laundering towels, clothing and bedding use hot water and enzymes or borax.
• Malathion - common pesticide, nervous system toxin in high quantities
